During my stay in Philadelphia last week–I went there to babysit my two granddaughters while my son and his wife took a much-needed vacation–I learned something which quite frankly amazed me. Would you believe that for just a little more money than you would normally pay for car rental you can rent a luxury car?

I am pretty sure that most people think like I do when it comes to renting a car. You picture the standard, cheap, compact vehicle which the majority of car rental companies offer. The truth is you can Rent Rolls Royce, arrange for a Porsche car rental, or find other Luxury rent a car deals. At least that’s what I discovered in Philadelphia. I guess it’s true that money buys anything, but who would have thought this applied to the renting of a car? Or that it would cost only a bit more than the standard price?

The way I found this information is almost as interesting as the fact itself. With some extra time on my hands while the girls were napping one day, I decided to check out the best car rental deals in Pennsylvania for my trip back home. I had flown there, but wanted to enjoy the scenery on the way back home, and renting a car seemed the best way to accomplish this goal. So I began doing searches online. Just for the fun of it, I typed in “rent luxury car.” Would you believe I came up with over a million results? And to my delight many of the results I found were for listings of exotic and luxury car rentals Pennsylvania had.

As I mentioned above, I was truly amazed when my research revealed that the cost of renting an exotic car is not much more than the cost of renting what the rental car industry considers the standard. So the next time you are going on a trip and decide you want to rent a vehicle maybe you’ll think like I did when I began my research into luxury car rental; you deserve to ride in style!
